  1. Awesome project and setup! Would love to see your setup! Should setup a few (tilt shift) IP video cams for different angles to enjoy even at work! Seems like Profilux system lacks the online weather streaming. AI new system is simple and cool. Hopefully AI's new Wavemaker will integrate the weather emulating Thunderstorm even. Waiting for it to launch. If you can integrate sound (eg. thunder and etc) and rainfall (eg. with spray tubes) that will be even awesome.
  2. Excellent photos with lightings! Thanks for sharing!
  3. I have 6 tangs they did not bother too much on my gamma. More impt like what bro digi said. Put in betta box for at least 1 week. Create crevices that your flame and pbt cannot go in for gamma to hide. Hope that helps. Best of luck bro!
  4. I have a multicolor, golden, flame back and bellus female, all living well with many other fishes. eats anything..
  5. Saw 2 flame wrasse, multicolor angel, chervon tang, hawkfish and potter angels at AM.
  6. http://reefbuilders.com/2012/01/08/led-showdown-finals/ I vote for LEDs. Less heat and less maintenance. You could buy the SPS bar by fish street that is giving different spectrum of wavelengths and they are using Cree Leds.
  7. Nice job! Will camp to see how your tank evolve.
  8. Unless your external environment (eg.aircon room) is constant throughout the year, I would recommend to check your temp also during the hotter season. just to be on the safe side.
  9. I saw 2 goldflake Angels at AM, last Sat. You could call them to enquire.
  10. Hi Bro, Another issue might be your placement of the clam. When you're going to purchase your next clam. Look for out the minimum pointers below: Watch for gaping Clams. The clam will stay like this for as long as the clam is unhealthy. Examine the mantle. The clams mantle should be colorful everywhere with no clear or white areas. Colorless areas may be the result of poor lighting, predators, or disease. A clam will quickly recover from poor lighting once conditions are improved. Also check for rips and tears in the mantle. A healthy mantle should be extended over the edge of the shell and not pulled inwards. Check the clam's reactions. A healthy clam should react to external stimulus by forcefully closing its shell. Newly imported and transported clams tend to react more slowly, but will improve as they regain their strength. Check the clam's byssus gland. The byssus gland should be undamaged. You should not see any torn or loose tissue hanging from the bottom of the clam. Cheers.
  11. I got a pink one over a year and my tank is mixed reef. But you definitely need to keep a safe distance with other corals and it will move till it find the right location. I have small fishes and there is no issue. Just blast out or target feed when you feel like it, once a week with some mysid or henry gourmet.
  12. SL folks once told me Aqumedi quit bact can be used in reef tank to combat ich. Another one is waterline Octozin. Hope this info helps.
