  1. What's the point of buying aquacultured corals when your tank is not even ready for anything to live in there. try eating sleeping playing and shitting in your home toilet with flush system down(in tank case, cycling porcess not done).... wonder how long can you live in there? Angelfishlover for your support If you too lazy to read the link i provide. here are some common mistakes ppl make when setting up tank(quote from the link) 10 Most Common Mistakes Made by Aquarium Keepers (just quote 2 as you will find it too long winded) 1. Moving Too Fast "Patience" is a requirement with just about anything that you do with a saltwater aquarium. Far too many people report problems after they have put a tank together, because they are just moving too fast! Far too often we have read aquarists comments like, "I need test kits? What for, and what kind?" Of course this is after they have had a tank for some time. A high percentage of people do not take the time to read and study up on the hobby before getting started. 2. Overloading the System A problem that goes hand-in-hand with moving too fast is craming too much livestock and/or live rock into the aquarium all at once, especially in a tank that is not fully cycled, or has just completed the cycling process. Even in a well established system, placing too many new additions into the tank to quickly can cause new tank syndrome. Slow down! Saltwater aquarium keeping is not a timed event, so take it easy, and work on your patience skills. If you feel that reading up to gain more knowledge to having a successful tank is too much ..... think i will agree with you on your tank tread that maybe you should just give up first till you are ready to commit. It's like buying dogs/cats are easy. Taking care of them is not.... Please learn to be responsible ok..... If there's anything you need to know.... let your favourite shop(janet) knows and ask her to refer those questions or doubt you have to me ok(I'm mostly not in sg). Will be more than willing to help. Perhaps your first step is to go to the library with angelfishlover since he had offer.....
  2. Please pardon me for being blunt. Instead of so call keep walking after several tank crash. Please do a favour for the ocean. I do urge you to read up more info and hopefully understand the cycling process. A good place to start reading is Salt Aquarium Within 2 months the number of coral(sps on the 3rd month?) and fishes you have added(any idea of what is call bio load?) you mentioned you will start afresh with new set of corals.....( they are living thing.... not just toys) like angelfishlover commented on your tank thread, we have lost count how many time you stripped your tank. Please read more before you repeat the vicious cycle of buying another new set of "toys" to replace those dead one.... On behalf of Gaia.....
  3. ok to answer to your call can try Lim Han Teck 62547372/91065198, his shop is next to sealife at balestier He is more to making freshwater tank for arowana. He will suggest his own concept if your design is not what he is use to. Just have to be sure of wat you want and stick to it and he can still do it. Price wise is reasonable and must say his workmanship is good(oh his carpenter at that time too)
  4. You can go to garf.org on the left panel select How to pages than select sinularia they have step by step guide and video on how to propagate diff corals. hope it helps : )
  5. you can try East ocean, Blk 22 havelock Rd #01-699 S160022. which is very near your hotel. They carry marine equipment but not too sure if they have life stock as i've not been there myself. Welcome to sg
  6. it's a street behind the hotel mandarin oriental. dunno wats the road name though....
  7. been using a syringe with hot water and aim at the mouth. it'll shrink and do not stop there..... a second dose on it's base nice and slowly..... Works for me, never see them again
  8. i used to experienced the "molting" in this coral. After i've shifted it to a stronger current area(with occasional direct current blowing at it) the so called "molting" did not happen again and it's open all the time. if thin film is observed, it's best to use hand to wave at it using the current created by it to remove the film and it'll open again once the film is remove.
  9. They only allow 2 piece per person.... From news it's already like hello kitty 3 day 2 night que.
  10. here's the website http://www.aquaexcel.cn/Product_new.asp (borrow from redheart)

  12. it's at 民权东路near 民权大桥. do not expect much as their corals are from indo and phil as well. equipment wise can totall forget about it as well. theirs is 5 years behind us. in case you want to buy any electrical equipment, also bear in mind that it's 110V, so still need to get a step up transformer. If you have the time can always go and see see look look
  13. the speed will alternate between small med and large, the only control is how long each speed last.
  14. you've already eliminate your other half to stop u by shifting the tank site to the office...... who else can stop you!!!!!!!!!! WHO..... WHO........ WHOOOOOOOOO p.s- cant wait to see you lights in action..... keep the update(s) coming.........
  15. i have 4 sand shifting star hence no corner is left out..... use to have only 1 and some part not shifted... Doing a great job i must say
  16. it's a float switch, you dun have to use it if you dun need it. It's more for auto top up use. like toilet flush system and water will stop once it reaches the set level. iwarna have a set up using it. maybe you can go and view to see it's application
  17. My god....... this is a first time i see ppl paying to get fish out of tank wat i did is put a big net in the tank, wait for about 30mins for the fishes to get use to it. once fishes sees no threat about it, drop food with in the net area and i believe the 6 line will chiong in and walla....... that's how i catch my 6 line out...

Called Red slime remover or something like that(mix with water will be yellow color). about $25 i think Hope it will work for you. Even using the aqua medic oso took me about 3 days to see result.
