Yeah! They're really adorable. I read that that you can train them to feed from your hand...which explains that cute pix :P

I just got 1 myself yesterday. Bewarned that they would release toxin when stressed or attacked (like boxfish) thus annihilating the whole tank. There are just as many reports about cowfish being dead with no toxin found :D

Take the risk? Heh.

Why all the venom? Reefing is just a hobby, dude.

I keep cowfish before it was my very first batch of fishes cute it looks but dun be deceived by them.

My seahorse was killed my that I saw it nipping the head of the seahorse I took it out but died shortly.

After a few weeks the cowfish also go heaven dunno why. Now that before I purchase anything I read up first.

Sad to lose animals you know

Just to add to the thread..

You know how they ship the cowfish?

Heard from ppl that they actually put small pieces of styrafoam on the cowfish's horn to prevent it from poking thru the plastic bag.. LOL

Imagine the cowfish with four pieces of styrafoam stuck to the horns and floating on the surface..

:P

Tango

they ship the cowfishes with small plastic tubes inserted around the horns, not styrofoams lah. Those smaller cowfishes have blunt horns so no need to cover. I don't think covering horns is cruel, to not cover and cause water to spill out thus killing cowfish is cruel :P

Why all the venom? Reefing is just a hobby, dude.
