A good investment with the MP40 & battery. At least you get some peace of mind over power trips.

It'll be good to find out the root cause of the issue.

A melted plug is a sign of excessively high watt density over an area causing the connection to glow & cause the plastic to melt. Most likely due to

- poorly joined wire

- current leakage of a particular component

- And coupled with quality of the extension plug / thickness of extension cable

Thank you for your advice! I'll take note of these! Planning to do a electrical panel too hopefully by the end of this year! 🏻

My reef tank is officially 5 months and 7 days old ! Have been through a lot of ups and down. Money keep on flying out of the pocket/wallets. Time spent looking and adjusting your reef tank. Most importantly is the progress that we/I enjoy! Just to share the 5 months and 7 days time lapse! Hope you'll enjoy !

Update !
Managed to take some time out and rearrange all the corals. Making some space out to fill in more corals. Such as 20k lokani and different types of SPS.
Gotten some new equipments for my tank. Officially broke but these equipments makes me more confident of my tank in terms of power failure or equipments failure. Reliable equipments can last you a long way. Also took a few hours to rearrange my wires.

Also saw those cheaper extension plug you are using, do know that such extension plug does build up heat and may melt the plastic if your power loading is high. Suggest to get those branded type like Belkin or Sneider that uses high grade plastic. More pricey but trouble free

Finally get to set up my reeflink to connect with my MP40 first because I'm having trouble to find the right PVC pipe to connect my L1 return pump to my current return PVC. So tomorrow i will make a trip down to Madpetz to get the necessary PVC.

Review of Reeflink

The first look of the Reeflink really looks amazing. I love the outlook of the Reeflink clean and small. I took around 1 hour to play around with the reeflink and trying to get the best wavemaker schedule for my tank after referring to other Reefer's schedule. In the end i decided on this schedule.

If you all need more in depth of setting up from the start then hope this link can help you.

Having a Reeflink to connect my MP40 and L1 Return pump really allows me to have a peace of mind when I'm out. Reeflink also provides me more modes for my wavemaker and i can also turn my wavemaker and L1 to feed mode with a simple touch on my Reeflink application.

Review on NYOS dry food (True Algae, Wild Goji, Sweet Algae)

I managed to get some sample from my friend.

I went to feed my fishes with these three dry food. I separated the feeding for about 10 minutes and the fishes are crazy with these three dry food. My fishes are literally chasing the food.

According to the website:
http://digital-reefs.com/?p=9111

• Raw materials from certified organic production and agriculture.
• Guaranteed pesticide and GMO-free
• Absence of artificial colors and artificial flavors
• Natural, soft granules high in vitamins
• Granule size of 0.9 – 1.5mm

I'll continue to feed my fishes with the mixture of these two dry food.
