Will definitely use one if I had the means...to get one and to maintain one! ;)

You can! I thought chillers were darn expensive till my friend sold me a brand new Resun for only $700! It consumes only 180W of power and believe you me, it didn't change my power bill by that much. Furthermore, it comes in only when temperature increases and so doesn't work continuously. You interested? I can get one for you.

1/2 HP should be good. If you have more than 1000W of light, you'll need 1 HP.

Hi

I have been hearing many of u talking about noise on chiller. Isn't it quite difficult to judge the noise level. I would suggest either we use DB level or maybe comparing the noise with some equipment having about the same noise so that we can imaging the type of noise that it produce. Or anyone could have better idea please suggest. Thanks

make a sound proof cabinet for the chillers to be silent hehehehe..how abt tat :ph34r::angel:

unfortunately, sound travels thru air (most commonly) thus a sound proof cabinet would be airtight, which means ventilation is zero, which means bad for the chiller... so I think it won't work
