SRC Member chaniz Posted June 30, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted June 30, 2007 There is no right or wrong answer. All fishes react differently. For my case, yes, Sohal did attack my PBT for the first few days. Now, less offen, but occasionally still chase the PBT. If you want, get a Sohal that is smaller size than your PBT. Bio528
ya get a smaller one safer, but i myself find that sohal at the size of 4" and above den nice
SRC Member kokhui Posted June 30, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted June 30, 2007 Sorry off topic but I am also keen on getting a sohal. However, now I already have 1 purple tang, 1 yellow tang, 1 sailfin, 1 blue tang, 1 blue ring angel, 1 flame angel, 1 majestic angel, 1 yellow eye kole tang and 1 clown fish in my 4 footer. If I were to introduce a sohal now, do you think I will face problems? Thanks.
SRC Member alex826768 Posted June 30, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted June 30, 2007 tink its best to look for a 2 inch to intro into ur tank .. coz they grow fast and also attack fast .. check out pacific marine as they ocasionally bring in tiny ones ... Bio528
yea got for 2 to 3" i guess as for sohal really agressive fish indeed, my YT, PT and Sailfin has terror the whole tank, and sohal was the last tang i added, so cfm chase by my 3 terror but sohal dont even give a damn at them, now another way round my sohal chasing them. think sohal quite hardy fish so not to worry

My sohal was added the last but it became the king n terrorises my 2 BT, 1 YT and PBT(previous king) always fight with each other. My PBT subsequently got ich never recover n die frm it. But size really made a differences. My previous sohal was same size or slightly smaller than PBT. After the PBT died, it bacame even more of a terror till my tangs kept hiding n only came out occassionally to nip on seaweed. Eventually got to sold it away cos no pt having some many fish but can only see 1 swimming most of the time. I must say its really bold n hardy. When i first added it in, it can fend off attacks from YT n PBT easily.
SGTang
Having said that, im not discouraging anyone from buying it. Agree with Bio528 cos its really a beautiful fish which is very active n always swimming around, really a joy to watch it swim. Till now im still thinking of keeping one... BTW if im not wrong, Pac Marine latest shipment did not came in sohal. Hope next week can see them.
