Hello Brother and Sister!!!

I'm back to reefing after 6 years with the help from my buddy Jem and Iceman.

Reefing is so much more easier now as compare to 14 years ago when i first started.

Due to my work commitment, i have to fly overseas every month for at least 8-14 days, i have to convince myself to have a small tank at home which runs almost half automatically with minimal maintenance for my dad to understand if there is anything happens with my tank.

For my equipment, i have slowly upgrade along the way, and most of my equipment (including my tank) is 2nd hand.

Equipment

Tank Spec : Innovative Marine 40 (7 Months Old)
Light : Radion XR30 G4 Pro
Wave Maker : Ecotech MP10
Skimmer : Tunze 9004
Chiller : Artica 1/4
Dosing : Kamoer 4Channel Dosing Pump

Parameter

Po4 : 0.05
No3 : 10
Ca : 520
Kh : 7.2
Mg : 1490

Mixed Reef

SPS - Staghorn , Digitata , Montipora, Tenius , Milliepora and etc
LPS - Hammer , True Octo , Frogspawn , Torch , Acans , Blasto , Supersun and etc
Softies - Yumas , Rics , Mushrooms , Zoas and Palys

Fishes

1 x African Flameback Angel
1 x French Angel
1 x Mystery Wrasse
1 x Yellow Tang
1 x Midas Blenny
1 x Spotted Mandarin Fish
2 x Frostbite Clown Fish
2 x Purple Fire Goby
2 x Bangai Cardinal

So sorry for my messy tank, please leave a comments on where i should improve on.

FTS : 14/02/2018 (7 Months old)

This will be a page for me to record the progress of my little ocean at home, from the day i first started to where it become today! :yahoo:

Thanks for your compliment bro.

It's rather challenging when i'm controlling my parameter with the help of my dosing pump. i will share more information in awhile.

After weeks of consideration if i should start a Marine tank at home, i start to source for my equipment.

Manage to get my first Equipment which is a 2nd hand 1/4 Artica Chiller, was lucky that it sit nicely between my TV console and Balcony door.

5a8a9301d0648_chiller2.png.e8920a1fa67eaf323a3933cdac80d1fa.png

2nd things that i've gotten is Live rock from Iwarna. i wash and scrub the rocks, soak it in fresh water to kill any unwanted pest and sun dry it while looking for my tank.

5a8a93abd9c9d_liverock2.png.20129a55c6fce282e093f07f777d5dbf.png

With the dimension of my TV Console, i am so bless that IM40 is having the exact dimension that i want.

Helps from all my reefing buddies to ask around if anyone is letting go of the tank, i manage to get my tank from a friendly reefer on National Day(9th of August 2017), which is also the date that i have started my tank.

Leonard is a very humble and nice reefer that passes me lots of information about the tank and things that i should look out for the maintenance of this tank. He even made the effort of wrapping the tank with newspaper to prevent the clumsy me of damaging the tank.

With the help of my buddy Jeremy, we have shifted the tank and let it sit nicely on top of my TV Console.

Next is to get a dosing pump, and i've manage to get a kamoer 4channel dosing pump for myself.

Apparently the dosing pump is white in color, and it doesnt blend in with my setup, i have decided to sticker it to matt black instead.

For my 4 Channel Dosing pump, i used it as below :

1 Channel for CA
1 Channel for KH
1 Channel for MG
and my last channel i use it as my ATO. I've measure the water evaporated from my tank everyday, and used the last channel to top up the water, and for this, i have one lesser equipment to run for my tank.

These are really lovely. You’re inspiring me to get more Yumas for my tank hahahaha. Easier to propagate than many hard corals and can be just, if not more colourful.

Just wondering though, how much did you get them per piece? They don’t look cheap and it’s rare that I find such brightly-coloured ones :(

Oh yes, I wish I can built the community bigger with more reefer keeping Yumas after looking at my collection! Hahaha...

My Yumas price ranging from $45-$150 per polyps.. depends on the colors of the Yuma.. :D

Awesome looking tank and very detail write up..

1. May I know for your dosing schedule, how many ml did you dose from each bottle per day?

2. Can checked with you what your tank evaporated rate per day? Where do you place your ATO?

3. Is your solution premix from powder form?

Would you want to wrap your outlet piping too? :)

Good Morning Bro..

Here is my answer for your question.

1. May I know for your dosing schedule, how many ml did you dose from each bottle per day?

How many ml a day depends on the number of SPS and the consumption that they take in a day. Different tank have different dosage. For my tank, CA i'm dosing 30ml daily with 2 separate dosing, my KH is around 60ml daily with 3 separate dosing, and my mg is also 30ml daily with 2 separate dosing.

2. Can checked with you what your tank evaporated rate per day? Where do you place your ATO?

my tank is evaporating approximately 120ml a day, which i dose it in 4 different dosage as not to overwork on my dosing pump.

3. Is your solution premix from powder form?

Yes, i'm currently trying NYOS CA, KH and MG after trying AF component 1+2+3 when i first started the tank.

I hope that i have answer your question.

Cheers,
Lorenzo Lee
