The KH for distilled water is 0. I used to use distilled water for the first 3 months during early tank stage.... but due to the high evaporation rate of my tank, distilled water being topped into the tank is high too. End up battling with pH and KH problems. Had to dose many buffers to keep up. So not recommended for tanks that have high evaporation rate. Otherwise it's good for make up salt water as no minerals will conflict with the trace elements in the salt. FYI, distilled water made from our neighbour up north is not to be trusted.... you never got to see how corroded and scaled the condenser is for the boiler.

I dun think thats chaeto... read before its some species of caulerpa. But it works well for NO3 but not really good for intaking PO4.

Saw my cleaner shrimp did that before, but only to a dead bristleworm. Of late my peppermint shrimp is spotted trying to catch the resident bristleworm from its hideout. The above-mentioned shrimps are by large savengers but they are after all still carnivorous creatures, so its no surprise that they are adapted with the ability to hunt.

Looks like a chaetodontoplus personifer, aka personifier angel, to me. Dunno if prone to ich, but one thing for sure... it's not coral safe. Unless of course if it's tank raised and only eating feed.

As you stated, then what other differences are you hoping to have besides pricewise? True precs are more popular probably due to the larger stripe of black... thus having distinctively more colours...i guess. In the wild, its very rare to find any species of clownfish swimming without an anemone nearby. So answer is yes it's better. As a "set", many LFS do sell paired precs but hosted with anemone rather rare. BUt its not difficult to get clownfish to be hosted by anemone... just need to know the compatibility between the species of clowns and anemones.

To elaborate more on Fuel's point, the scientific way for IDing true or false percs is in the number of dorsal spines on their back.. True percs have lesser dorsal spines (9 or 10) than false percs (11 or 12). Do a search on the internet to see pics of the difference.

Update: T5 Sold. TM's Elimi-Aiptas for $10 still available. Also, got a Maxijet 400 modified version for sale. Modified (outlet cut off) to have bigger flow and if hook to a timer, it will gives two (50-50 chance) different direction everytime it is switch on. For more information on this modified version, do a search here in SRC. Comes with all the accessories but no box. Not coraline encrusted as I had clean it. But if coraline encrusted is desired I can exchange with the current one in my tank. Bought at $40. Selling for $20. Used for 4+ months.
