  1. me camping here too.....I just love every one of ur new works. Thank you for your fine contribution.
  2. VorTech MP10 Here the specifications; Flow: 500 to 1575 gph Wattage: 8 to 18 watts Maximum Tank Thickness: 3/8″ Appropriate Tank Size Range: 2.5 to 50 gal Dimensions: Wet Side- 2.5″ diameter by 1.5″ long, Dry Side - 2.5″ diameter by 2″ long Clearance Needed Behind Aquarium: 2.25″ Min 500 gph and they say it can be used for a 2.5gal tank? Put rocks and fake corals with no livestocks issit? Can these manufacturers stop showing us that they really don care if we understand what they are selling? Can they stop thinking that all reef keepers are idiots?
  3. I understand this, but then if the max is not suitable for nano, then they should not be marketing this as a nano wavemaker? If it is so over powered, then they should design one that is alot more toned down and selling it at a price a lot lower. Say 'yes' everyone!. Why should we pay more for power we don't need or for that matter, cannot even use? Say 'yes' everyone! . Would you pay more for a car that claims to have a seat warmer to keep u warm in Singapore? You will not. Would you pay more for a tap for ur bathroom sink that has a mouth so big 2 buckets of water can flow through it in a second? You would not too! My point is, they should start making a TRUE nano wave maker. Is everyone with me? *clap clap clap. thank you...... Siow one. Sorry. Just bored...heeeheeehee
  4. Heehee, i know la. Just exaggerating only. But seriously speaking, if i were to tone down too much, then what is the point to spend so much money when i can just use a few hydro nano? Otherwise, i think Tunze nano might be a better choice too. Moreover, i feel that Vortech's edge over tunze is only the wave mode. Without that or if i am not using that mode, then Tunze is still my first choice. Btw, have they made the effort to include a light sensor like tunze so that changing of nigh modes can be automatic rather than having to turn it manually every night? I mean, technology is only cool if it can be automatic. Especially at the kind of price they are selling, i think it is only fair to consumers.
  5. wa lau eh, the wave like that how to use in my JBJ nano? Fill up with half tank of water? In part one, that kind of strength how to keep lps? If that is the power, then i suggest they start R&D for MP5 or MP2.5 then it will truly cater to nanos.
  6. What are the modes of payment? Do they accept nets or credit cards?
  7. Go very slow when acclimatising them to your water condition. They are ultra sensitive to changes. Also, make sure ur aggressive fishes are well fed . Especially the wrasses. otherwise, you may see the shrimp murdered in front of your eyes.
  8. Don quite agree here . Depends on experience really.
  9. Very much depends on the source and whether it was a healthy specimen u started with. It is a delicate coral at the beginning, but once fully settled in ur tank, it is very hardy. It is very important when choosing a true octo. Do make sure that the skin wrapping the lower part of the skeleton is healthy and not brown or receding. Secondly, try to make sure that it opens very healthily. The person packing it must also take extra care to fan the polys until they close up before removing from water. Otherwise, the weight/pressure from the inflated polyps may stretch too much and hurt the specimen. I do not acclimatise my coral to my tank and so far i have been lucky so i cannot comment on whether the extra effort makes a difference. Do take note that high intensity light when introduce abruptly may 'burn' the octo, causing it to spit blood and eventually die. Maybe some other bros can share with u their experience with this beautiful coral.
  10. Have u tried superglue gel? It is alot easier to use than epozy. Brands like 3m and alteco are cheaper option.
  11. Hi Guys, Got this supersun with about 20 heads. Some as big as 20 cents coin. Selling at the above mentioned price.(negotiable) collection at bukit timah. Pm me if u are keen. Thanks
  12. looks like there is one tunze nano wavebox. Hmmm..what else is there?
  13. very nice work there. May i know what equipment is used for this tank other than the ATI module?
  14. Yup and this time with a really refreshing idea. Cool......
  15. i totally understand your feelings. I ever spent 10plus hours scaping my stupid LR. And it is only a 3 footer! Somehow one rock feels funny and then u pull out and the whole thing collapse then u do it all over again and again. I think many of us have been through that. Sometimes it really depends on your 'FORM'. If that day got feeling, anyhow put also nice. That is part of reefing for all of us.....

  17. jem, I like ur rockscape...very unique and lots of potential. Will definitely be a stunner unless u decide to cover it with Pratas
  18. I will take 2 if u have a pair that does not fight. Male/female Thank you.
  19. email takes forever dude . She already gave her mobile number for fast deal and also mentioned no email due to lack of time. Give her a call and you have ur answers immediately....... duh? I just cannot understand u people. Pardon me if i sounded rude, but i get very perturbed by people who don't bother to read instructions. :pinch:
  20. bro, seriously unless u love all the features of the RSM, i will suggest u put ur money into a custom made tank with sump. RSM is pretty badly made, especially the cabinet. Also, due to the IOS, it is quite restrictive in terms of equipment. The stock lights are also not the most ideal light IMO. Also, the cabinet does not have any ventilation, which means no chiller can be housed in it.(i wonder if the person who designed it has any reef keeping experience.) If u buy a chiller, u have to place it by the side, which defeats the purpose of a AIO(all in one) tank design. $1k plus u can have a rather decent custom made tank already. With a sump(bigger water volume) your parameters tend to be more stable.
  21. hi guys, tagging along in this thread. i have always loved the rBTa but never gotten it for fear that it will split too many times and overrun the tank. How come u all don seem to have my same worries? Mayb can share ur experience with me so i can start owning one RBTA. Thank you thank you.
  22. awesome rockwork! I like the way u planned for one tunze to be in the overflow compartment as well. This is one tank thread i will love to follow. Keep it up. Cheers!
  23. Impossible to be 3mins. The gems all so stunning i think i will have to ogle and stare and choose for at least 2 days before deciding.
