Sani Boyan
Wow!! Very nice tank you have! And I'm glad that it survived and turned to a really beautiful reef. I admit I don't have the courage like you. Kudos!!

gingerwrasse
Nice tank. Do you have a FR running rowa in it? Nope. My 34L tank cannot accommodate much. Haha. Keeping it as simple as possible. I do a water change twice a week.

gingerwrasse
Happy midweek, reefers! It's time for bed but I'm in the mood for some posting. Did a little shopping at bro Anthony's a couple of days ago and got some pretty sweet zoas! Perfect excuse to whip out my iPhone macro lens too. This guy here is my favourite. So intricate. The lighting of this picture is probably not doing this frag any justice. It has a nice pastel-ly look to it in real life. This one gave a stab of colour to my zoa garden. Really love how it stands out. Also... Got myself a possum wrasse! Cute as hell and really beautiful too. But he sure loves to hide where the LED don't shine. Such is life. This is how he rolls. Hider style. Ok my eyes are starting to glaze over. I think that's my cue to koon. See you all soon!

gingerwrasse
Thanks for all the kind words guys. we all know reefing is 90% luck. The other 10% is divided between hard work and expertise. Haha. Though I must say, I'm sure I won't be able to maintain this garden without the help of my reefing-powerhouse boyfriend. There's just too much he knows that I don't. Still learning. But thanks for the encouragement! Such a fun hobby.

gingerwrasse
Reefers... hi! I meant to do a post last night but I fell asleep with the phone in my hand. So that didn't go so well. Since I'm getting tired of brainstorming at work, here's the update. Maybe I should get a better camera. And scrape the algae from the bottom of my tank. But anyway, I've resorted to moving my palys to the sand bed. They were growing like nobody's business. So this is now my paly meadow. My favourite of the moment is that neon yellowish/lime one. Got a little pipe organ frag too. Making it a personal mission to collect all things flower-like. Pipe organs, gonios, etc. What to do. Zhar bor is zhar bor. Different angles of new zoas that only my bf remembers the names of. But today, I bring sad news. My neon goby had mysteriously died. Just when I was congratulating him on being a survivor the other day. But he had a good run. One of the original inhabitants of my ocean flower bed. Oh well. Maybe I'll get a blue one next time. And finally, here's the latest FTS.
gingerwrasse
Whipped out my iPhone macro lens once again. Here's a mini update. I got a baby flamboyant cuttlefish! Naaaaaaaaaaaaah. It's just a chalice. This joke sounded funnier in my head. But look at the bak. I never really noticed how iridescent it is. Can anyone ID it? And speaking of shimmery... Don't know about you guys but I definitely didn't know golden cloves were sparkly too. Quite an underrated coral I think. I'm signing off with my fatass cat. Pachii says goodnight. gingerwrasse
Hello Monday once again. How cruel, heavy rain, cold winds, nice snugly weather on a MONDAY MORNING. But while contemplating getting out of bed this morning, I was looking through my pictures. Day 1 vs Month 3 FTS! That was yesterday's FTS. Isn't it funny. That starfish is with some other reefer now and my scape seemed so much smaller then. I didn't change the rock scape at all. The zoas completely altered the silhouette. Speaking of change... I used to hate chromis for some reason. But. I got 3 tiny ones yesterday. The smallest ones I could find. They are growing on me! I got them for movement and colour. And the weird thing is, I think one of my clowns realised his true calling to be a chromis. He has been schooling with them. Hilarious. Time to get back to work. Although I don't know how I'm gonna do that since my laptop is as dead as my neon goby. Wish me luck.
