Do Marine tank need heater??

Recommended Posts

U need , water temperature of 26-28 deg Celsius,

That's the objective of using a heater or a chiller . If a heater can get the tank temperature to 27degree than use it. If not then u need a chiller.

U could start by telling us your current tank water temperature , so we can advise you what to use ..

Then why are you even thinking about a heater?

Don't bother replying to such threads bro... next thing he might be asking is if marine tanks need salt.

If you stay in country that has 4 season, their heater will be turned on during winter season to keep the tank temperature at 20+ deg. Hope this is good info for you. Singapore unlikely u will be able to use it

For 5ft tank if without chiller, how many fans we need to keep the tank cool? If I switch off chiller, the avg temp is about 31.

Depend on what temp u want..to achieve 27-28°c throughout the year I dun think its achievable by using fans as the temp very much depend on the ambience temp..if reef tank, 100% must have chiller..;)
