SRC Member chipson1 Posted June 18, 2004 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 18, 2004 Hmmm, rubber gaskets tend to leak that is why all skimmers use O-rings. Hi AT, There is a specific way of incorperating the gasket, all ETS skimmers use gaskets. My beckett is running without any problem. If I have to groved the flange, additional cost will be incurred. Cheers! Chipson1

huiwen
Hi Chipson, Will an Eheim 1262 be enough to drive the beckett skimmer effectively ? or do you need a Resun MD40 at least ? Thanks,

Thanks, Hi Huiwen, The Eheims' are not pressured pump, I am afraid you can't use the Eheim pump for the beckett skimmer, you heed at least MD 40 for the 24" and MD 55 for the 32". The Eheim 1262 can support Mazzei version. Cheers! Chipson1
