there's nothing wrong with highlighting the fact that we can get a brand new one for a slightly more expensive price. this, pointing out of price, protects the wallets of newbies who are desperate to get equipment and may inadvertently get cheated.

its called knowing the market rate and selling accordingly. nobody sells a second hand car at a price that is almost as close to getting a brand new one of the showroom. it wouldn't sell and its only friendly advice from us to him.

my two cents.

Hmn of couse seller have the say in the price. But if seller wants it that high then be it lor, most of the time people will read the comments and I believe $85 is a price people won't pay after reading the comments we made in the thread. Maybe can try lowering your lowest bid. :D:idea:

Well.....luckily have some pm which are more reasonable and logical. I am not saying that he is trying to be funny with me but just highlighting that it is a really bo leow thing to do to bid at S$1. That is what I call trying to take advantage of others and as a seller I am definitely not happy to see such pple around. Even if a car salesman din put in a price for a car, how would he react if you goes in and say how about $1000 for a car which has a market worth of at least S$40,000? Hence to fan off such houseflies, I put in some nettings. Although I din get S$85 but it is definitely not S$1.

Think no need to further elaborate on this but hope some of these folks around here can be more cultured and reasonable instead of putting ridiculous prices for some other pple's attempt to sell their items.
