aquarium artist tank set up

Hi bro and sister

I thinking of asking Vincent from aquarium artist to build my marine aquarium.

Any feedback from his job, i can see the tank set up from his previous job is very good..

if u dun mind waiting n waiting n waiting n waiting n waiting for your entire set-up to be completed...

Why dun just go to the source, rather than middlemen? - Coral Reef or N30, etc....its cheaper, faster and neater!

What is the size u are looking at and the kind of setup? Going direct if u know yr stuff and time, otherwise good to go for one stop service as there are intangible benefits like advices and discounts. For any engagement, good to have black and white and any penalty for non conformance. Getting feedback is good but do walk the ground to see their work and speak to them. Select one that u feel comfortable with. Welcome to this hobby.

from a neutral point of view.

If you like his job as stated then go for it.

My last tank was built by an sponsor here whom had many neg feedback.

No doubt there are hits and misses thru the setup.

It is ok for me as end of the day the end product did serve me well for 5 years.

I would say there is no perfect tank maker.

You may want to negotiate a proper deal with a timeline, etc.

All the best in your pursuit of this fun hobby :)

Tom

hi, bro and sister

thanks for advise, i just meet up vincent from aquarium artist and discuss about my tank set up.

quit a nice guy and work very hard on his job as a aquarist. i can see his like the job very much.

I think everyone deserves a 2nd chance.... Frankly speaking, he was my 1st choice at the very beginning. I emailed him for a basic quotation in Sep and after waiting for a few days no reply. Decided to call him for quotation. However, everytime he said he will email me the quotation... but never happen. So I became the "salesman" and became the constant caller for business, if u understand wat I meant.

Recently a thread started titled "tank maker decision" probably creates a ripple effect. I finally got his email reply....in Nov.

I guess someone might have reflected this saga to him.

But I already selected my tank maker, not Vincent, and wow, I am so grateful that the turn of events had led me to a great & honest tank maker....
