Check out July TOTM 2012 winner of Ultimate reef. He has similar concept and used tank as a room divider, similar tank size and also 3 side view.

Bro kent, would you think a 4-5ft refugiurm will be able to take over the sump and absorb all nutrients from the main DT. What do you think, would you explore or still use the human gadgets to export nutrients?

Seriously I have no clue whether it will work using refugium only....it also depends what type of corals(soft/lps/sps)...if SPS i doubt it will work as it is more delicate than others and couldnt take sudden shock....

hey bro, why dont you do the hood on the wall, like ikea slot-in shelving? Drilling not allowed? N30 have done before similar designs..

But if you need the hood to break away the difference bwt the tank and water level, then dun really have much choices...

My current design changed a little from rimless/hood less to full cabinet style. And other than this, I'm considering to built in a Bar Counter to enjoy a cold beer while watching fishes with khakis

A long long break since I update this.....my tank is ready to be constructed soon.

Have contacted the Aircon guy to install the compressor and piping.....next week...
