i see no difference with or without cover when light is on though..

or can someone explain to me something i dont know

You may feel there is no difference with or without the cover because our eyes are not so sensitive to little change in the power emitted by the lights.

I was at polyart yesterday and the arylic plastic with pre drilled holes ( use as tank divider). I estimate dimension is 1 by 1 feet. They have a plastic material looks like mesh with fine holes( semi flexible ). Fairly strong and stable to be place directly on the 2 by 1 tank.
