hmmm i also have them on my clam! :unsure: they are soft... can be squished and would not release any slime or what nots..

i took out my clam and scrubbed them off with a toothbrush once.. waited 1 day and i saw some more growing! :shock:

fed up lah so im just leaving it on the clam... dosen't seem to be affecting the growth of the clam anyway.. :P

so anyone can conclude? pest or pet? since i only got a clam shell should I juz leave it alone? it looks kindof scarry/ disgusting though...

I reckon they're good as they do perform some filteration function. However, I would keep an eye out for any tendency to overgrow and smother any other inverts in your tank.

Those are colonising tunicates alright, posted the same picture a long time ago. X-Japan posted some multicoloured ones before, and I'm talking orange, blue, etc ...

They feed on phytoplankton and does not seem to do well in bright lights and they grow FAST ...
