Pls stay on track... we want the pics....

post video for u tonight la.. haha..

as much as i planned on the introduction of the new yashas, freak accidents do occur.. my gf spooked the yashas in the betta box, one of them jumped out and MIA inside the rocks.. haiz.. thus i've released the remainin one with the shrimp into the DIY burrow.. keeping fingers crossed.. :( its a big tank, with moderately big fish.. hope it works nonetheless.. tried my best to calculate flow, food drifting, fish traffic, and visibility..

DIY burrow idea thanks to bro Peacemaker..

Nice! :goodjob:

90o PVC pipes gives you a smaller footprint. Where did you get those?

spot on about the 90o elbows.. got it at Vista Point hardware shop near my house.. not v wide selection, but i managed to find what i was looking for.. shouldnt be hard to find right?

pics as promised, after i relocated the yashas.. the display tank is simply too intimidating for these little fellows.. so i hooked up a "Sudo Satellite Breeder Box" to my sump to house them..

will be adding and re-collecting some zoa-frags into this box to grow.. :)

Cute! Just a word of caution though... you need to get more turnover for this house. If you have noticed, they like to store food in the burrow, so it might cause an ammonia spike if the flow is insufficient.

ah icic, good point.. actually I'm using a small submissive pump to generate the inflow instead of the designed air-pump (which has really low turnover), so I'll just monitor this pump, from the looks it seems to be able to generate sufficient turnover, but it's adjustable so I can rev it up anytime too.. very handy breeder box since it comes with inlet, outlet, and lid.. didnt really modify much except to hook up a powerhead instead of air..

thanks bro peacemaker, will have much to learn from you in future.. :) btw these fellows are fairly nocturnal explorers I realize.. interesting..

i can't really see from the picture how the box works but maybe you could hook up a small pump moving water from the sump into the box and letting the water just flow down like a waterfall from a hole or gap or something. my experience with small pumps in small tanks is that they then to heat the water up. having water move from the sump is as good as having a skimmer and chiller for your yasha tank.

oops sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't clear lol..

actually I alr am using a small submersible pump to pump water into the box from my sump, the box is just an addon.. what u've described is exactly what it is now.. :)

will slowly stock up again, nowadays no time to go shopping as often as last time.. :)

Any idea What cause the "crash" and SPS stn ? Yes, i agree that the most challenging part of keeping SPS is maintaining the Ca,KH and MG constantly at all time.

no idea, speculated either is my dad's experimentation with vodka, but the timing doesnt seem to match.. or bad batch of seawater, possibly.. really no idea.. even now, we dare not say that the system is 'stable' already, still monitoring, especially the remaining SPSes.. growth seem to be stunted..

large one is around 20~, there is small, medium, large.. can get from C328, or Seaview..

more info and sizing can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/External-Plastic-Aquarium-Breeding-Satellite/dp/B004APYF66

online video of it in operation, by default using airpump.
