Admiraltian
Hmm, let’s see. For me, it works on most species of sps and definitely ok for lps if u placed them at the right places, (e.g. not too high to prevent getting bleached) but some doesn’t really like or maybe need better acclimatization to this led. Can see the difference from my old photos when using t5 & led. And it could be these species are more sensitive too. Namely, they are ssc & homewrecker and wd if u are wondering which ones. Hope it helps in clearing ur doubts. 1 Quote Display Tank : 36" x 20" x 20" Herbie overflow box design, Sump : 36" x 21" x 17", Frag Tank : 16” x 20” x 16”, custom built by Tank Culture. Admiraltian
Yes, quite similar to radion. They can be controlled via WiFi thru their app on mobile phones, etc. Also have buttons and a small display panel to press on the device itself but I never try this, too troublesome. Thru app control is easier. Quote Display Tank : 36" x 20" x 20" Herbie overflow box design, Sump : 36" x 21" x 17", Frag Tank : 16” x 20” x 16”, custom built by Tank Culture. Admiraltian
It’s has been a long 3 month no update.... a lot has happened to my tank since cny and also rest of the world becos of covid19. First thing first, added some fishes sometime in March. Bought 7 Evansi anthias from Iwarna but all died except left one to accompany my existing two. Forget to take any pics of it. Guess it’s not very wise to buy fresh shipment for finicky fishes like these. Next fish I got is yes, another tang. Oops. A gem tang. Doing well now after keeping in a beta box hanging in my tank for 5 days for observation. Was initially bullied by initial trio of redsea sailfin, powder blue and purple tang. Now they good frds. Admiraltian
Next, I discovered some weird stuff crawling onto my glass at the end feb where I had not been adding any corals for close to two months which is kinda strange. Upon checking with some frds, it’s the dreaded AEFW. I have no idea how it got there. Somehow it linked to lost of colors on some of my acros. The worst has yet to come. I read these pests like to feast on non hairy sps. But for my case, this species of Aefw take a liking in species like milliporas and prostrata. Lost my precious colonies of pink and green millies and red sungod prostrata, a aussie pearlberry and blue stag horn. Pics shows infestation of eggs and stn on the base of prostrata. Dumping all the egg infested acros. I believe all the Aefw can burrowed into the stems and killed it from inside out. Anyone has read abt this before can maybe contribute? Large colonies killed within space of a week. Got this little fellow to help out a little but think a little too late. Next thing I did was got this from RMSG after reading abt it to try. Results seem good but of cos I had to dump all possible infested colonies and start regular dipping of frags I can took out to cleanse. Admiraltian
Currently just completed my treatment and seeing some good results. Good results as explained in some duller looking corals started to have colors coming back. As of yesterday I still see some egg looking stuff below one of my monti and hammer lps but can be easily scraped off. Not sure if they are eggs or what. Keeping fingers crossed. Do Aefw laid eggs on monti and lps? Cos they are acropora eating? Sounds like a dumb question to ask but if anyone can answer me, thank u very much. Admiraltian
Can’t help it but in the midst of my treatment I still added some frags cos I seeing some results Juz after 2 weeks. I did a 35 days treatment instead of the recommended 28days just so becos still have about 100ml left. Anyway, full dose I need 160ml for my tank size. Insufficient but I just dose instead of wasting it hoping it will kill whatever fw that still surviving. Alright onto the frag pics... The rbm on the left doing well again after I shifted it away from the Aefw infested area of my tank. Rem wat I said these buggers like to feast on prostrata and millies. Rhs is the new tenuis I got from Iwarna. Look like orange passion becos saw the inner coralite color orangey.
