yellowtanker
haha thks a lot bro, i dun mind having some chaeto hehe my main concern of having a scrubber is bcos it will requires lighting...chaeto is ok bcos im planning to throw into my betta box inside the main tank...den if i on my lighting in my sump, yes, algae will grow on the srubber, bt it will oso grow on my pumps in the sump oso lor...will have a hard time doing maintenance for my pumps...bt im tinkin of getting a black color cover to cover the srubber, so tat the light will onli be contained in the cover n srubber, n nt onto my pumps....feasible? OK. Will pass u some chaeto. U stay AMK right? Will be back next weekend.... so if i passing by yr area, will sms u. Or if u like, can come my place as i intend to arrange a get-together with some bros on a sunday. Don't understand the concern about the algae on the pumps?? Remember the algae grows on the scrubber (plastic sheet or cloth) outside the water ie. where the water touches the air allowing exchange of air/water - that is where the algae grows best. If there is no fast flow of water + exchange of air, you will not get good algae growth. If you need a clip-on lamp/bulb holder, i may have a spare one for you too... that is, if u decide to build one in the sump area.
