Hi Lemon,

Sometimes the ich will appear, sometimes none at all. Very strange, depends on its mood.

Have kept a few PBT and from my limited experience, once you can get it to feed on pellets, ich is no problem at all.

Same with mine.. You will normally see the ich just before lights off..

Hi Kiko, the partner's color is not as dark, the color of a saddleback clown. Got this pair from Iwarna. The other pair died of brooks(?). I hope this pair survive, else I will stop trying clowns for the time being. My last pair of black clowns are just as black. Had them for 3 years and their head never turn black. Got them from src oldbird, Bawater.

Why all the venom? Reefing is just a hobby, dude.

Hi DS, nice tank and set-up you've got there... BEAUTIFUL! is the word

Juz to throw in an idea, I agreed that you might wanna consider using the overflow area as an algae scrabble, due to the height. U can use another LED spot light for this area and maybe fabricate something to allow u the ease to harvest or clean the scrabble. I do have some ideas for the design. Bio-balls looks nice and seems fine in the beginning but after years if left on it's own, it does get dirty and unsightly, juz sharing from my past experience. This is also the reason why in my new tank, I switched to a shallow OFS that allows me easy access to replace filter media.

Hey Nitro, yes I thought of that as well but like I told you before, I'm a total DIY idiot :P

I will be eternally grateful to you if you could help me!

The only reason the bio-balls are there is to reduce the water splashing noise. It is really really loud!

Sure can help. Maybe one of the day I can visit your hse and see what we can design and if it's feasible anot.

Advice very much appreciated!

Been doing water changes every other day.

Reduced photoperiod from 8hours to 5hour.

Going to get an MP40 to improve the flow although I'm not sure if that would help. The slime is growing on high flow areas already.

Peacemaker, my wife could only do water top-up for me while I wasn't around :P

Urgh!

Update to the dino problem I was facing some time ago. I got fed up and switched off the lights for 4 days and no problems after that.

Here are some photos of the new inhabitants...

KH raise it a bit more between 8-9

Calcium raise to 400+

Mg dangerously low, once it goes below 1000 u will find it difficult to buff it up

No3 if u not keeping sps its fine but newly added fishes get stressed and sick easily, growth stunned too if No3 gets above close to 50

U could just add more salt using a drip, cal n mg should be raised slightly depending on what brand salt u using.

agreed.

i'm not a tang person at all and when it comes to tangs, there are very few that i like. but the powder black (white cheek) is one of the few ones i actually take interest in and from the looks of yours, it will develop into a fine gorgeous black stud!
