Lots of reefer is willing to teach, you just need to be able to accept our advice. Trust me, "Equinox aka ben" is not the right person to be a mentor.. he himself also very stubborn almost everytime. Lol! Regards, Lorenzo the tank is in my bedroom so the aircon is on at night la haha. I'm sure it's not good enough. I need save up for a chiller first $$ haha yes, many reefers have been super helpful! sending me pm of photos and introducing stuff that I should get. lucky me. Actually U need the chiller more during the day. Lol. Do shop around for used chillers. Can be had for around $200 or lesser depending on condition. Cos a new hailea cost $3xx for ur tank size. It can be a bit noisy though. Knowing that the tank is in ur room. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

suehwee
how do you attach the canister? to the wall? I'm thinking of inverting a bottle of water at the last chamber and let the tank slowly "drink" haha. but then idk what will happen once I go on long holiday. The brand I use is red star fish. Hangs directly onto the glass, maybe you can google it for a better idea. The way it works is almost the same as an inverted bottle. My 2L canister lasts about a week and a half for a 2ft tank.If you don’t wanna invest in chiller now maybe can just get a fan first and start with hardier corals. The ATO will help with the insane evaporation. Tho I do agree with the others that chiller is the way to go if you want nice corals. SRC Member ladynano Posted June 13, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 13, 2018 updates!! I bought a Chill Solutions chiller, very compact and sits next to my tank. Water doesn't evaporate much now. currently i have zoas, acan, shrooms, yuma, scoly, bta and torch. used to have a hammer but I think I placed it too high up the rock, got burnt... everything else still looks OK. stormrider
Nice chiller for nano. Quite operation too. One question, when you run your return pump to chiller then to dislay tank, do you feel the water pressure become much lower, slower water flower? I read you had a Eheim conpacton 1000, how was its performance?

I read you had a Eheim conpacton 1000, how was its performance? the Eheim 1000 is definitely a much better water pump than the stock pump. even with the water traveling from return to chiller to display, the pump is only turned on to about 30-40%. one thing to note is that it'll heat up the water, so really no choice but to get a chiller. stormrider
Thanks for the advice. I had many dead spots and detritus in bottom of my tank. So upgrading pump might be one option for me.
