Do a search on any of the scientific names above. sorry but when it comes to fish, i rarely, if ever, use common names. too misleading and most of the common names provided locally do not even exist in google searches, or are not accepted worldwide.

Example:

Scientific name : Cirrhilabrus punctatus

Universally accepted common name : Fine Spotted Fairy Wrasse

Local Name : Villa Wrasse (this name does not exist and is not widely accepted, no search results will appear)

I like this list, so extensive and cover prices somemore. But do note the unobtainable list is only to us. In other countries some of them maybe obtainable. Example Johnsoni can be obtainable in the states jux tat they've to coax one diver out of retirement. Lunatus and Lanceolatus the japanese do get them at rare occassions.

My personal favourite will be jordani fairy wrasse, beautiful, easy and peaceful and the best not overly expensive. Can get at $120 now.

But sometimes paiseh to ask the price.. cos they look so similar to the untrained eye.

End up asking the expensive ones and didnt buy...

just memorise the expensive ones then.

there are not many expensive ones and if u remember wat all the expensive ones look like, chances are you will end up asking only the cheap one.

also ask location. here's something to help you.

Expensive wrasses coming out of :

Indonesia - N/A

Philippines - Cirrhilabrus roseafascia (From Cebu) They've never been imported in from Cebu before so let's say the chances of encountering one during Cebu shipments are 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001

Hawaii - Cirrhilabrus jordani, Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis (Comes from Marshall Islands, but imported via Hawaii shipments)

Fiji - Cirrhilabrus marjorie, Cirrhilabrus rubrimarginatus, Cirrhilabrus laboutei, Cirrhilabrus scottorum

Vanuatu - Cirrhilabrus rubrimarginatus, Cirrhilabrus laboutei, Cirrhilabrus scottorum, Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus, Cirrhilabrus punctatus (Less than $100, but still considered quite expensive at around 80)

Australia - Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus, Cirrhilabrus laboutei, Cirrhilabrus scottorum, Cirrhilabrus lineatus

how much normally for one

Mystery Wrasse ...

mystery wrasse is not a fairy wrasse. it's the same genus as sixlines so expect aggressiveness. mysteries are very fierce.

they are about 80-100+
