For me, i voted plate corals!

Short tens ones.. i bought a colony of baby plates 1&1/2 yrs ago.. and they have not stop propagating...

New babys just keep sprouting out from the side of the old ones..

Currently trying the "notorious" Elegant.. 2nd attempt liao .. first time it was eaten by my koran angel... sold the angel liao..

Hope that this one can survive..

I have been pretty successful with Sun Corals...all you have to do is to feed them constantly...once every other day with chopped up Sand Eels, Mysis Shrimps, Krill etc.

Here's a picture of my XL Sun coral right above some rare Dendrophyllia sp.

Mind you....these polyps when fully extended are the size of your thumbs!!

B)

He holds a master degree of Hokkien Socialogy. I am still studying hard, striving to get a degree.

Well, my blasto grew by itself. I think old DNA from years ago.

I bought an Branching Hammer and now it has 2 branches.

I bought two branch Frogspawn Coral and now it has one big and one small branch extra. This small frogspawn is growing damn fast rate. I think Frogspawn is easiest in my tank.

Every tank is different and its like human. Some people like crowded rooms and some like peace. Some like more light and calcium but some not.

perhaps you should try feeding it fish, LOL. They like to eat fish, LOL. But dont feed too big or else will stuck at the mouth. You can try prawns too.

I am a newbie....

I have only kept Sun coral...

Found it pretty challenging at 1st..cause of it requires target feeding....

But now i have invented way to make it easier...

I would consider it pretty hardy, cause being a newbie, my tank water isn't the perfect but yet its alive & looking happy...post-14338-1217500800.jpg

why torch coral the least votes?

jialat i just got one yesterday. anyone has any experience with them? or can they be kept like hammers, frogspawn etc

i have 4 torch corals in my tank. not difficult to keep not easy too. they need good flow but not too strong. strong laminar flow will kill them. random flow is best. medium to good lights and they do require supplementory feedings. this is the hard part as most torch corals in captivity do not respond to food. the food will stick to the tentacles but float away later.
